Losing 50-12 in what was the Jets biggest loss for 2014.
If that isn’t enough it was also their biggest ever loss to the Bears beating the previous 42-8 loss in 2001, and the Jets worst home loss since a 58-4 loss to Townsville in 1998.

The last time the Jets beat the Bears was August 2013.
Ipswich 40 (Ian Lacey, Keiron Lander, Brendan Marshall, Sam Martin, Dane Phillips, Tasi Tasi, Javarn White tries, Marshall 6 goals) def Burleigh 22

BEARS
The Bears are in 11th place but they seem to always fire up for the Jets. The Bears sit in attack have 104 points and in defence 177.
That’s 13 points per game in attack and 22 in defence on average.

The Bears had won two games in a row and then came up against a Hunters’ side that showed just how good they can be on their day.
The Hunters gave the Bears nothing. Dominating every single facet of play.

The Hunters made a staggering six more line breaks, had 57% of the ball and made 482 more meters when they did have the ball.
Final score line of 42-6 reflected all those stats.

BEARS TO WATCH
DANIEL VIDOT
Vidot is an ex Jet having played seven games for the Jets in 2015. Vidot is a huge man who brings the ball back strongly. If he isn’t needed by the Titans again he will be with the Bears. Even though he was on a losing side against the Hunters he still made 14 runs and 116m.

KURTIS ROWE
Bears fullback Kurtis Rowe has been dangerous for the Bears and injects himself into the game at the right time to make an impact on the Bears’ left hand side. Rowe scored the first try last week after a minute.

LUKE PAGE
Page is another former Jet who loves to charge into the line and scatter defenders. Page shows plenty of enthusiasm but can get found in defence being slow to react. The Jets’ small men will be around him waiting.

JETS
The Jets are sitting in 9th place with three wins and the last two in a row.
The Jets’ attack is 174 points which is 21 points per game, nearly double the Bears. While in defence the Jets have let in 201 which is 25 points per game on average.

Against the Magpies the Jets forced them into ineffective tackling. The Jets offloaded 22 times, of which Seb Pandia was seven times.
The Magpies had to stay up and make double efforts which forced them into 32 ineffective tackles. Coupled with that they missed 46 tackles as well.

That’s a lot of chances presented to the Jets.
The Jets have offloaded 195 times this season; that’s 24 times per game.

JETS TO WATCH
LUKE CAPEWELL
Capewell had his best game against Souths, at hooker too. He was smart and deliberate in what he did and could have had three tries. Capewell will be looking for big tired Bears and taking advantage of his Jets’ mates having run them around.

CHRIS ASH
I love watching Ash pass the ball, he has a beautiful action and picks when to hit his outside men. If you’re a back at the Jets you know he’s going to put it just where you want. Ash executed a great short ball for a try on Sunday.

SEBASTIAN PANDIA
Good luck stopping him Bears. He’s a wrecking ball. Pandia was great against the Magpies. He made 24 tackles which was the most for any Jet, 18 runs which again was the most and 143 meters which was the most ground made.
Plenty of history between these two clubs, they seem to fire up to meet us and we haven’t beaten them since 2013.
The Jets haven’t won yet this year at home having won three games on the road. The Bears are a great place to record win number one.

["post-2909","club_news","type-club_news","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry
["GET
