Game-Day Guest Privileges and Reputational Responsibility

Corporate hospitality, sponsor tickets, guest passes, special access and game-day privileges are provided by the Jets to strengthen relationships, promote the Jets, support the
game and create a positive experience for sponsors, guests and supporters.

Sponsors must protect that relationship by using these privileges responsibly and by not inviting, hosting, endorsing or publicly associating the Jets with guests whose presence or conduct in the reasonable opinion of the CEO, having regard to on credible information reasonably available at the time, the CEO reasonably considers the person’s attendance or association creates a material reputational, integrity, safety or legal risk to the Jets otherwise bring the Jets into disrepute.

  • Sponsors shall raise concerns with the Jets immediately if they become aware that an invited guest may create a reputational, safety, integrity or legal concern for the Jets or the game, so the matter can be handled respectfully and appropriately.
  • The Jets may refuse approval for any guest, withdraw tickets or hospitality access, deny entry, remove a person from a venue or event, or impose conditions on attendance where the Jets considers this necessary to protect the Jets, the community or the game.

Enforcement and Accountability

The Jets will seek to deal with any actual or suspected breach of this Code in a fair, respectful and proportionate manner, having regard to the nature and seriousness of the
conduct, the circumstances in which it occurred, any risk to the Jets, its people, supporters or the reputation of the sports the Jets play, and the importance of maintaining strong sponsor relationships.

The CEO has primary authority to act under this Code and determine an appropriate response. If the CEO is unavailable and immediate action is required, authority may be
exercised, in order, by the Chair, a Board Member, or the Operations Manager.

Where reasonably necessary to address an immediate safety, integrity, operational or reputational concern, the CEO or other authorised representative may take immediate
action, including imposing conditions on attendance, refusing or withdrawing access, or requiring a person to leave a venue or event.

Where more serious or ongoing action against a sponsor is contemplated, the Jets will, where reasonably practicable and having regard to the circumstances:

a) inform the sponsor of the nature of the concern;
b) provide the sponsor with a reasonable opportunity to respond; and
c) consider the sponsor’s response before determining what further action, if any, should be taken

The CEO may seek the assistance of, or refer a matter to, the Chair or the Board where appropriate having regard to the nature or seriousness of the matter.

Where a sponsor, or a guest, employee, representative or other person associated with a sponsor, breaches this Code, the Jets may take action that is reasonable and proportionate in the circumstances. Such action may include meeting with the sponsor, issuing a warning, imposing conditions on future attendance, removing or refusing access to a person, cancelling hospitality entitlements, or referring the matter to venue authorities, the relevant governing body or police where appropriate.

Any suspension or termination of contractual sponsorship rights will be undertaken in accordance with the terms of the applicable sponsorship agreement.

Nothing in this clause prevents the Jets from taking immediate action where reasonably necessary to protect the safety of any person, comply with applicable law or venue requirements, preserve the integrity of an event, or protect the Jets or the game from material reputational harm.
