Beta Plumbing

Beta Plumbing joins up with Jets

Brad Grevsmuhl always knew he wanted to be a plumber and after living in Ipswich for several years he decided the time was right to service residents of the town he calls home.

It’s a business name that you’ll soon get familiar with, as in 2023 you’ll see Beta Plumbing and Drainage on the jersey of the Hastings Deering U21 Colts.

Working as a plumber for over a decade, he always dreamed of working for himself one day and based in Redbank Plains, Brad started the business which over time has grown a big following of happy customers.

“I started working as an apprentice, and from day one I loved it and haven’t looked back,” Brad said.
“Ipswich is a unique place, we get our fair share of floods and storms, but there’s also lots of new homes, commercial work and domestic work to keep us busy.

“Plumbers do more than fix and replace taps, it is very varied and that’s why I love it. One day I can be doing compressed air lines, the next I’m fixing drainage on a property, the next I could be installing a hot water system and the next I’m fixing guttering…that’s why I love my job because there are just so many aspects to what plumbers can do.”
With storm season and La Nina making Ipswich a wet place to be over the last few years, Brad can’t stress enough the importance of getting a professional to check your properties for defence against Mother Nature, and he can even check your property for water leaks which if unchecked, can result in a big water bill.

“We have a huge array of electronic equipment to help us find the source of leaks, for domestic and commercial applications. Business is growing and I’ve just put on an apprentice so that we can service Ipswich even better.
“It’s a great place to be, I love meeting new people and networking, plus I love footy,” Brad said. “I played Rugby Union in my day, so I love the Reds and also I’m a mad Broncos fan, so now I’m involved with Ipswich Jets I’m proud to be a part of the Ipswich community and share the passion for sport that we all have in Ipswich.

“I love it here. Everyone is very laid back, and with so many new homes popping up the place continues to grow because it’s a place that has everything.”
